Of mice and men: difference between book and movie

Personally, i dont think the book and movie had any difference at all.  Everything Lennie and george said in the movie was exactly word for word from the book.  To me the two were exactly the same except with the movie you can actually see the characters and thats all.  The Book and the movie were very good though and im glad we experienced both.

Dear George

Dear George,

I agree with your decision of killing Lennie, because lets face it, Curley and the rest of the guys were gonna kill him anyway, but in a way more brutal way for example, "ill shoot 'im in the guts" and "shoot for his guts, it'll double him over". It was a good decision that you made to kill Lennie yourself because you left him off feeling happy thinking about his future ranch and bunny's.  If you would have let curley and his boys kill lennie, you probably would have felt bad knowing that someone else killed your friend and you let it happen.

Even though Lennie made a bad choice by killing Curley's wife, he was your friend and you put him out of his missory that he would have had to go through if you didnt kill him yourself.  What you did was exactly like what happened with candy and his dog.  Nobody liked the dog and someone killed it instead of curley, and he felt bad about it.  You took it upon yourself to take care of business with lennie, and you know what you did was the right thing above all that could have happened.  At least he died with happiness inside of him.

of mice and men part 2

i think lennie is so afraid of staying, for one, i think he has a feeling inside of him that knows he will get in some trouble at some point, amd because of this, pg. 31 "Le's go , george. Le's get outta here. its mean here". to go along with the possible feeling that lennie has of getting in trouble heres this, "but when she was standin in the doorway showin her legs, you wasnt lookin the other way neither". lennie knows he likes that girl, and because of what happened with the other girl, i think lennie wants to leave before he engages with her, or does something wrong to her like holding on to that girls dress. The reason lennie cares about getting in trouble so much is only for one reason in the whole world.  He wants to tend the future rabbits at the future ranch with george and george said he couldnt tend the rabbits if he got into trouble so he remember's this more than anything. Dont get into trouble and tending the rabbits.  Lennie is a good guy but it is inevidable for him to cause trouble because he is not very smart.
